The New York City All-Day Singing takes place on the Saturday before the third Sunday in September.

There were 177 registered attendees at our 2006 NYCADS! 100 leaders led 95 songs.

About the singing:

Please join us for our all-day singing! We have a few new details to share about the schedule for the weekend:

Friday night, Sept. 18:

• Singing from the Cooper (2012) Edition of The Sacred Harp at 6:00 to 9:00pm at ALL ANGELS’ CHURCH, 251 West 80th Street on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. (Unfortunately this is not an accessible space. There are stairs and no chairlift/escalator.)

Saturday, Sept. 19:

• All-Day Singing from the 2025 Edition of The Sacred Harp at the Brooklyn Friends Meeting, 110 Schermerhorn Street, Brooklyn. Registration opens at 9:15, singing to start at 10, Dinner on the Grounds at 12:30, concluding around 4:00; social to follow, location not yet set. Chair: Kobi Bordoley.

For housing with local singers: Sam Kleinman is the housing coordinator; reach out at nycads.housing@gmail.com.

For additional details and updates, see the FB event.

We meet on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at the Church of the Village, 7th Avenue and 13th Street, to sing from the 2025 Edition of The Sacred Harp. Registration at 9:30, singing starts at 10:00, but we will be allowed in to start setup at 8:00. If you can come early to help, please do. 2025 Edition books will be for sale; there will also be loaners if you are not ready to invest. The singing will run to 3:30. Our Chair, Sara, asks that we take the time to click GOING on the FB post so that we can get a slightly less vague idea of the expected attendance.

The social will be at Desert 5 Spot, 94 Wythe Ave. in Williamsburg, Brooklyn; it is just a short walk from the Bedford Ave stop on the L train, which you can catch at 14th Street. Sara has organized music and dancing, to no one's surprise. Bring your cowboy boots and fringe (and appropriate instruments to jam).

Sunday's workshop on the 2025 Edition with native New Yorker and Revision-Music Committee member Lauren Bock will take place at the Anthroposophical Society at 138 West 15th Street, between 6th and 7th Avenues, from noon to 2:00. (Thanks to Jon Adler for connecting us with this space.)

-- From the food chairs, Sam D. and Elias: Please don't forget to think about what you are bringing for Dinner on the Grounds (or breakfast or snacks) and to add your contribution(s) to the spreadsheet, here.
